I too have done some serious calcs about the mounting height of urinals, perhaps for a different reason, but I too have come to a few that were too high for me to use. My complaint is when they are mounted so high, not only do short men need to seek another fixture, but so do younger boys. Follow this: 95% of all boys age 20 years are under 74" [188 cm] total Ratio of height from floor to tip of hanging flaccid penis : total height of male is in the range between 36% to 49% with the average being 42% If we take an extreme male of 84" [213 cm] the tip of his penis would be <b><i>h</i></b> off the floor, where <b><i>h</i></b> would be 35.6" for the average, 30.3" for the min. & 41" for the max So there is no value to mounting a urinal where the top of the opening is over 41" [104 cm], and with the stream flowing in a downward direction, even well below 41" [104 cm] would accommodate even this extremely tall male urinary needs. This would result in the lip (the lowest protrusion you pointed out in your red circle) being 12 - 13" [30.5 cm - 33] off the floor, instead to the 24" [61 cm] the manufactures typically recommend. If the youngest boy expected at a urinal is at least 24 months old, 95% of boys that age are over 32" tall, making their penis tip between 11.25" [28.6 cm] (36%) to 15.7" [116 cm] (49%), so that would accommodate virtually ever boy old enough to stand and pee at a urinal, saving much flushing water, and making toilet stalls more available.
